Welcome to Sivo ("we", "our", "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Sivo iOS application and related services (the "App").

By using Sivo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2 How Sivo Works

Sivo uses email forwarding to receive your emails. You set up a forwarding rule in your email account (university, work, or personal) to send copies to your unique Sivo receiving address. This means:

Sivo uses artificial intelligence to power its core features. This section explains exactly how your data is processed by AI and which providers are involved.

Important distinction between the two flows:

๐Ÿ”’ Zero Training Policy: Your data is NEVER used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models โ€” neither ours nor the providers'. Both Anthropic's and OpenAI's commercial API terms explicitly prohibit the use of customer API data for model training. This is the default behaviour for paying API customers and does not require any opt-out from us or you.

6 Data Retention

We follow a clear, time-limited data retention policy:

๐Ÿ“‹ Your original forwarded emails are retained on Sivo's servers for 90 days, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted. Only the AI-generated summaries and extracted tasks are kept for as long as your account is active.

10 Subscriptions & Payments

Sivo offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. All payments are processed exclusively through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information (such as credit card numbers or billing addresses). All billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed by Apple in accordance with Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.

11 Children's Privacy

The App is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 17 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

12 International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States (where our AI providers Anthropic and OpenAI are based). By using Sivo, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

14 Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
